This page explains every way filmtransfer.ai earns money, so you can judge what you read here. It follows the US Federal Trade Commission’s guidance that material connections must be disclosed clearly.
Who runs this site
filmtransfer.ai is operated by Vintage Film Channel, which also sells film transfer services. That is a conflict of interest, and we manage it like this:
- Any Vintage Film Channel listing is labelled “Operated by the site owner” wherever it appears.
- Vintage Film Channel is never Featured, never placed above other results, and never added to a quote request automatically.
- Quotes from other labs are never used to set Vintage Film Channel’s prices or to contact those labs’ customers.
- Some pages include a clearly marked link to Vintage Film Channel’s own film transfer service.
Paid Pro profiles for labs
Labs can pay for a Pro profile ($19/month or $190/year; a $129/year Founding Lab rate for the first 20 labs). Pro adds content to a lab’s own page: more photos, a longer description, a larger logo, a website button and social links. Pro listings carry a visible “Pro” label. Pro does not change the order of results or which labs customers can choose. Pricing for labs.
Featured placement (not currently offered)
If we offer Featured placement in the future, it will appear only in a separate band labelled “Featured — paid placement” above the results, with at most 3 per page. The unpaid results below keep their normal order.
Affiliate links
Some guides link to products such as film scanners, storage drives or archival supplies at retailers like Amazon or B&H. Some of those may be affiliate links: if you buy, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are marked with a disclosure near the first link and carry rel="sponsored". We have no affiliate arrangements with film transfer services, including Legacybox, Capture, iMemories, Walmart, CVS or Walgreens, so our comparisons of those services aren’t paid.
Quote requests
Sending a quote request is free for customers. Labs don’t pay to be selected: you choose which labs receive your request.
